Pars Oil and Gas Company

Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), a subsidiary of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), was established in 1998. POGC’s mandate is the development of the South Pars gas field and North Pars gas field respectively. Decisiveness of the Ministry of Petroleum to uphold and exploit the Islamic Republic of Iran rights in the South Pars gas field led onto the establishment of POGC.

South Pars gas field is one of the largest independent gas reservoirs in the world lying on the territorial border between Iran and the State of Qatar in the Persian Gulf. It is one of the country's main energy resources. This gas field covers an area of 9700 square kilometers, of which 3700 square kilometers belongs to Iran. The Iranian portion is estimated to contain some 14 TCM of gas reserves and some 18 bn bl of gas condensates. These amounts to roughly 7.5 % of the world gas reserves and approximately half of the Iran’s gas reserves. Presently, some precise and sophisticated projects have been designed for development of 24 phases to produce 790 million cubic meters of gas per day.

."i.t.s" has a significant role in supervising quality control audits for NIOC projects on their behalf Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QA/QC of the projects and inspection "i.t.s" performsQuality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), inspection and certification of the goods ordered to  domesticmanufactures for the northern and Southern projects in cooperation with PKSK, PPI and OIEC.

Bongaigaon Refinery

The Bongaigaon Refinery is the eighth largest refinery of IndianOil. Formed upon the amalgamation of Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (BRPL) with IndianOil on March 25. 2009, Bongaigaon refinery is situated at Dhaligaon in Chirang district of Assam, 200 km west of Guwahati.

Presently the refinery produces a wide range of petroleum products namely LPG, Naphtha, MS, SKO, HSD, LDO, LSHS, LVFO, RPC, CPC, Needle coke and solvents (Petrosol and Bonmex-II) by processing Assam Crude and Ravva Crude (from the Ravva oil fields of Krishna Godavari Basin). Bongaigaon refinery has also undertaken special endeavours towards environment protection and conservation. The refinery has developed an ecological park and a pond surrounding it containing 65,000 cubic meter of water, through which the storm water drains of the plant are routed for final discharge. Another natural pond with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meter of water has developed into an environment-friendly park-cum-pond for migratory birds. In addition, a rain water harvesting system has been installed in the Bongaigaon township complex and the installation of solar water heating systems (SWHS) and solar photovoltaic systems (streetlights) is underway.

"i.t.s" has investigated for reconstruction of gas reservoirs in case  of corrosion for which "i.t.s"for which "i.t.s" supply the material under the supervision of British Petroleum Global.

"i.t.s" has also performed an audit  for the execution of cathodic protection system, corrosion monitoring and system controlling in accordance with international standards. This respected compny also took apart in review of technical specificationin regards to the technical protection systems execution of Cathodic Protection System, Corrosion Monitoring and system controlling with international standards. Review of technical specification for technical protection systems ensuring absolute compliances between technical requirements and validity of design, procurement, execution, tests, construction and superior supervision over construction.
